Legal Question in Family Law in California
Been married 9 months. What is difference between annulment and divorce? We have no children together. We both have kids from previous marriages.
Am I eligible for spousal support from my soon to be ex husband?

If you have consummated the marriage, and neither of you was still married to someone else at the time you married, or mentally incompetent to enter into a marriage, or one of a handful of other obscure grounds for annulment, you don't qualify. You would have to divorce.
Given the short duration of the marriage, you would not be entitled to any spousal support.
You're right of spousal support has everything to do with the kind of income that the parties relied upon while you were married for this brief period of time. If your ex is a high earner, you could be entitled to some support for a limited period of time. More information is needed.
