Legal Question in Family Law in California

I got married in Nevada, and live in California. Is it quicker and easier for me to go to Nevada to get divorced than to do it in California?

You can only get a divorce where you are a current resident. If you are a resident of California or your spouse is, then California would be the appropriate jurisdiction.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
