By statute, your income is not to be considered except for tax consequences (which bracket), unless it is apparent that you are helping him not support his child. For further information, visit http://www.ellifritzlaw.com
If you keep your income and assets separate from his, his ex cannot reach your income and assets to satisfy child support obligations. If you mingle your income or assets with his, such as joint checking or savings accounts, however, they can reach everything in the accounts, not just what he puts in. In either case, however, as Ms. Ellifritz said, only his income is used to calculate the support amount, except to the extent your income affects taxes on his income.
