Legal Question in Family Law in California
Married 8 years. I bought a house 4 years ago and am the sole proprietor. Husband signed a quit claim. Is he still entitled to 1/2 equity? Live in So Cal. Getting a divorce.
Thanks,

A sole proprietor is a form of holding a business that means the business is personally owned, and is not a corporation, a limited liability company, or a partnership. It has nothing to do with California's community property laws.
Do you mean to say that you purchased property during the marriage and took title as sole and separate? I suggest you consult in private with a competent family law attorney. Analyzing whether or not the community has a claim is going to take up more space than this website provides.
