Legal Question in Family Law in California

Married 23 years, three kids, 24 yrs old, 18 yrs. old, & 17 yrs old all students. Housewife, husband doesn't want to continue to support the household or file, and no finances to do so, can I file and make him pay the attorney fees?

You need to convince the court that you don't have enough money to pay the attorney by filing your financial statement. The court can consider this and order your spouse to pay the fee for an attorney for you or to share the fee.

If he has all the assets and income, he will be ordered to pay all or part of your attorneys fees, but only if properly requested in court filings.
