Legal Question in Family Law in California
I have been married for 12 years and in October 2010 my husband says he wants a divorce and moved out of our home we both currently owe on. We have two children, both have since left and moved in with him, he took his car ( a Dodge titled in both our names) (a motorcycle titled in both our names) ( and in November came and took my car a BMW titled in just his name, in the middle of the night) he works for the local sheriffs dep. as a dispatcher, when i called to report the car stolen, they told me that there was nothing i could do just let "jimmy" cool off! Now the house is in default, all bills are past due, i lost all county asstance due to the face none of my children are currently living with me, and no transportation anywhere! I am about to be homeless, and i cant stop but to think, how can any of this be legal?! dont i have any rights?? Please help!!!

Unless one of you file for divorce or some other legal action there won't be any relief. If you file for divorce you could go ex parte and get immediate temporary orders for relief.
