Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been married for 20 years to a Viet Nam Vet with PTSD. He has recently, at age 64, just received benefits. The day he completed his evaluation and status, he left without a word and no income other than a small social security which I cannot survive on. I am 64 also and am worn out dealing with the Symtoms of the PTSD for so many years and running a self employed business with no benefits. Am I able to get any part of his award for the PTSD? He also has disability income.

The combined income is 7 times what my social security check is and he has left with every penny and our only car.
