Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am married 5yrs to a man who has a child support order in AZ. We pay a sm amount to the X monthly and she has legal custody. Kids are now 16 and 14. Kids have now been living with us for 3 yrs, we did not change order, she came to CA for about 1 yr and then went back to AZ and left the kids with us. The 16 yr old wants to go live with Mom. My husband is disabled and recieves sm amount from SS. X has part time job in AZ. I have lived in CA all my life, never adopted the kids or acted as their parent, just wife, however have help to support kids with home, food, clothes, etc. Can the X come after my income for child support, either in CA or AZ, to support the 16 yr old. I make good money.

I do not know about AZ law, but in CA they cannot use your income in calculating support and they cannot go after it for unpaid support if it is in an account that your husband cannot make withdrawals from. If it is in a joint account, they can come after it if he does not pay according to the order. You should re-ask this question of AZ attorney's however.
