Legal Question in Family Law in California
I am about to marry a woman from Peru. She is here on a work visa for the past 10 years. and has an International Passport. What do I have to do legally? She is not an American Citizen. I want to make sure my assests are protected also.

It doesn't matter at all that she is not a U.S. citizen as far as getting married. There are things you will want to do to improve her residency status and/or naturalize her once you ARE married, but that comes later. As far as protecting your assets, you should talk to a good family law attorney in your area about a prenuptual agreement, or at least some prenuptual financial planning. Again, that would have little or nothing to do with her nationality or immigration status.
