medical exp.
to whom, i have a court order that states my ex wife is required to pay half of medical expenses that exceeds, what my med. insurance doesn't pay for ie: orthodonist and extensive dental bills...to this date she owes me in excess of 6000.00 dollars. that i have payed ''with fool proof'' to doctors etc. how can i re coup that? and is it possible, since i pay 1900.00 dollars a month in child support and alimoney combined, to have a temporary reduction , for example 250.00 per month until the balance has ended?? please i need help from a deadbeat mother thank you so much...--name removed--ashby

You need to go to Court on an OSC and request an order that she pay the past due bills, plus I would request attorney's fees for having had to do so. The Court will not offset Child Support, however, it may reduce spousal support. Most likely the Court will order her to pay small monthly amounts to cover the past due bill. Make sure you get interest on the debt!
