Legal Question in Family Law in California

medical insurance premiums

My Court Order requires that ''the parties shall share all uncovered medical, dental, vision, orthodontic and psychological expenses of the children''

Does this mean that my ex-spouse call bill me for 50% of the money that is deducted from the paycheck for medical insurance coverage, and vis versa.

No, your interpretation is incorrect. The cost of the insurance is factored into the underlying child support calculation, and the order means you share equally in non-reimbursed health care costs, not insurance costs.

Good luck to you.

Re: medical insurance premiums

Based upon that clause alone, You have no obligation to pay half the medical insurance coverage. However, you do have an obligation to pay half of all costs which are not covered by insurance. Obviously, I haven't seen your judgment so I can not comment further.
