Legal Question in Family Law in California
medical reimbursement
I have primary physical custody of my two children. The medical coverage of our children is not addressed in the divorce settlement. One of my children is requiring therapy and orthodonture. I plan on going to court to get an order for her to be responsible for half of the medical costs. She says she is not responsible for the therapy because she thinks there's nothing wrong with the child. She sees the children one day a week for 2 hours. That's her choice for visitation. Is she obligated to pay for half of the copayment of the therapy, which is $15 per visit, even though she feels it is not necessary and objects to it?
