Legal Question in Family Law in California

medical/insurance support

per my divorce papers it states that my ex-husband is to provide health insurance on our daughter at no or reasonable cost, which he hasn't.I have paid the premium and now have remarried and have insurance through his employer ,however the co-pays are very high now, would these co-pays apply to the law/and court order that states that the father is to pay half which is not covered by insurance?

Re: medical/insurance support

California law requires a parent to provide health insurance if it is available at a reasonable cost. The uninsured medical costs are generally divided equally between the parents. The exception would be if a parent intentionally did nto take advantage of the available insurance or violated the requirements of the insurance policy. He should be paying one half of the co-payments.
