Legal Question in Family Law in California

Mental health

My ex-wife has physical custody of our daughter. We are going to court next month for a modification now that I live 400 miles away. My ex-wife told me and other family members that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder years back. She has been acting irate and speaks badly to me, and of me, in front of our daughter. She is purposely trying to ruin my daughter and my relationship. I have a very strong case against her. She doesn't allow visitation unless I comply with her requests. How do I request she have a mental exam prior to our court date. Also, I would like for someone to evaluate our daughter as well because she says that her mom is always yelling at her and she is afraid to talk to her.
