Re: Mental health

Generally, I would need to get the County to do it for me or my client. If cause exists, the County can get a court order that would cause someone to be submitted to the custody of a mental health care facility. I suppose I could ask for a court order that would impose certain penalties in the event one does not submit themselves to a rehab program. I also suppose if I or my client were appointed a conservator of the person, I could have the person put into certain health care facilities, which in some circumstances could include a mental health care facility. There are situations where the County sometimes retains someone in a mental health facility longer than it has authority to do so. In those cases, the County can be sued, sometimes for a very substantial sum of money.
