Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi. I am in the middle of a divorce.I am living in our home that has a loan modifacation on it. He has made it very clear that he is not going to let me keep the house. I have had no spousal support from him. I am disabled and my only income is SSI. My question is am I bound to keep paying the mortgage or can I stop without any recourse from him. It just keeps getting harder to keep everything going and by the time we go to court it will be 14 months without any help from him.

Unless there is an agreement between you two, or a court order, he has no recourse. If you don't pay the loan, the beneficiary will foreclose on the deed of trust and take the property.
