Is it possible for the military to order a service member to go off-base to be served divorce papers when the service member does not want to in order to avoid being served?

This is not really a family law question. It is a military law question. However, evading service of process subjects you to civil and possible criminal liability. I'm pretty sure the military does not look well on it's officers or enlisted personnel intentionally interfering with or avoiding judicial process. And of course if you evade service long enough, the court will simply order you served by publication. So best to just get over it and accept service.
