What does a minor child need to do if they wish not to see the other parent for visitation?

The child needs to obey the parent who will treat the child as a child and tell the child what to do. Presumably the dog wags the tail and not the tail wags the dog.

Well, I think a lot depends on the age of the child. If the child is fairly young, then I agree with the prior answer, but if the child is 14 or over, then the child can go to court and tell the judge why he/she doesn't want to see the other parent.

The first consideration is to examine why the child does not want to visit. There can be legitimate as well as unjustified reasons. If the parent is abusive or the child is not being properly cared for are just two examples that might justify a change or suspension of the parenting time.
