Legal Question in Family Law in California

Got Minors counsel appointed, now wishing I had not. How to best manage MC in evidentiary hearing?

3 great kids-17, 11, 10. 50/50 custody judgment 4 years ago. All going well until I inform Mom that I have to file for child support. Following week she keeps kids, then claims domestic violence because five months ago I spanked one of my kids once.

My former lawyer asks for Minors counsel to vindicate me. She concurs and DVRO went away. However, she (MC) seems to favor Mom in the status hearings She chimed in against me re legal fees. Made off handed comments to Judge about me needing counseling and 'not understanding my actions' without presenting facts or anything I can refute. Asked if she's presenting written statement of issues/contentions - no response.

Dont want to get crossed with MC but dont want to get run over either. Any objections or ideas to use?

One really big suggestion. You need an attorney. Custody issues can be very complex and the issues that you see are not the same issues that the judge will see or the MC will see. You need a very experienced child custody attorney.
