misdemeanor for domesitc battery charge

how long does this stay on record for? And how can I get it expunged. Especially when the circumstances for the charge were do to intervening between my ex husband and then 5 yr old son; I got caught in crossfire of ex beating son and hit ex he called cops I got hauled to jail.

You need to review your case with an attorney. If you are now a defendant in a criminal case you should defend this case. If there has been a conviction then you may be able to get it expunged. This process does little to help you.
