Legal Question in Family Law in California

It has been 15 years since my wife disappeared. I want a divorce but can't find her. How can I replace service? Can I post a statement somewhere public?

You can obtain a court order permitting you to serve her by publication of notice in a newpaper. You are required to perform or have performed a due dilliogence search first.
I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
You will find some valuable information on various family law issues at my web site.

You can serve her by publication. This requires that you obtain a court order to serve by publication. To get the court order you must make a search for her, contact family members, check dmv records, voter registration etc. Then submit this information to the court in a declaration.
