Modification of parenting plan

I curently have a parenting plan in Wa state. My daughter and I live in CA and have lived here for over a year. I need to modify the curent parenting plan. How do i move the ''case'' to CA....and then where do I start to do a modification?

Assuming you didn't violate the court order by moving the kids out to California, you need to file a motion in the prior jurisdiction to move the case to the county and state in which the children now reside.

If your ex isn't going to oppose the motion, file it as a stipulation. If he is, get an attorney in Washington to do it. Once you establish the change in jurisdiction, file an "Order to Show Cause" for modification of custody in the California court. If your ex isn't going to oppose that either, again file it as a stipulation.
