Legal Question in Family Law in California

Modify Custody & Supportt for child with LD

If your ex-spouse is now giving you full legal and physical custody of an 11 year old child who suffers from mild learning dissabilites and needs a lot of help sometimes 4 hours a night with homework. I previously signed off on the original divorce not taking anything thinking my child would be looked after. He now has a girlfriend who is going to have a baby, is there any way I can go back to court to have him pay me to look after our child full time and to make sure my child will be protected with his assets if he dies since I gave him everything? ( there were several assets that when we divorced were put in his business partners name at the time of our orginal divorce and I did not have the money then to take him back to court and do a full discovery)

Absolutely, child support can never be waived, not even in a final judgment of dissolution. Call me if you need assistance.

Custody and child support issue are never final and you can petition the court for child support order and modification of child custody .
