You should obtain an order for visitation with your son. Then arrange to meet with you son and a good family counselor. This will give you the best chance of reuniting with your son. Then regardless of how painful the visits may be stay with it for a lengthy time. He needs to learn that you will be there for him.

I am not sure from the information provided how old your son is now. I am also unsure as to the amount of time which has elapsed with you seeing your son only three times annually.
In any event, you need to establish continuing and regular visitation. If you have not already done so, you will need to file a Paternity Action and an Order To Show Cause for visitation (perhaps on a stepped-up basis)for you and the child so that you may resolve the issues your child appears to have with you.
The court wants the child to have regular visitation with both parents and I therefore strongly advise you to to move forward without any further delay in seeking the court's assistance.

We certainly empathize and sympathize with what you and your child have needlessly been put thru by what appears to be a very unappreciative and vindictive parent. An OSC hearing (order to show cause) should clear this entire unfortunate matter up for you very swiftly. A court order will prevent your ex from manipulating you and your child's rights.
