Legal Question in Family Law in California

Money Obteneid as an ineritance.

I got $50,000 from my parent ineritance.

I want to know if in California, if I get divorced some time (years)after I receive that money, my spouse is gona have the 50-50 rigth on that money too.

Property received as an inheritance is your separate property. Since you apparently received money, you would have to place that money in a separate bank account or otherwise segregate it from the community property. In the event their is a divorce you would have the burden of proving that the money is your separate property. As time passes this may become more difficult. You need to discuss this matter with an attorney.
