how many months or years

without see your children is considered child abandonment in the state of california.my childrens father has been in and out of my childrens life and im tired of it due to drugs and just being selfish hes in jail right now but the last ime he left us was in january we have a 4yr old,1year old and a newborn which he hasnt even met my four year old who had cancer is starting to understand everything and me and her have been left alot even when she was in the hospital but i kept taking him in due to my children i need help and what can i do regarding custody full custody and maybe supervised visitation once in a while can someone please help thank you

6 months of no contact, no support, etc. and you could potentially start a parental rights termination action. but you don't want to go that route alone. it's worth it to have an attorney. if you can't afford one, check out the local legal aid or public law center. It sounds like you still want him to participate and it sounds as if you're depressed as well. Who wouldn't be with these circumstances? I would also suggest counseling for yourself at a local women's resource center...look around and find one that you like. I'm not saying this is a situation of domestic violence, but the National Domestic Violence Hotline can help you find local resources such as low-cost counseling, legal aid, etc....
