Legal Question in Family Law in California
Hello my mother has been married for almost 3 years. My step father had a stroke and his kids have power of attorney. My step father is wealthy and his kids asked for a guardian ad litem to file for divorce. A few months prior to his stroke my step father filed for divorce because my mother left because of his kids they wanted to know what and where the money was being spent. Mind you his kids ran his money so no she had no accsess to money. After about a week he looked for my mother and they reconciled. They have cut off any money that was coming in also stopped paying any bills and tried to kick her out of the house. They have offered her money to sign a post nub and leave. My mother has not asked for a dime they are aware as is my mom to what my stepfather left her in the trust and they do not agree with it so they want her out. They have left him in a nursing with no type of rehabilatation. My mother is by his side everyday even holidays. Is there any laws to protect them from the divorce?
