Legal Question in Family Law in California
What to do if the mother of my nephew is creating lies to get full custody from my brother?
1 Answer from Attorneys
If she is lying then you should document her lies and when she is testifying to her lies, you can impeach her. If she is found to be lying then the court will not find her credible and everything she says may be tainted by her lack of credibility. Therefore it is very important to be honest when you speak to the court because they will not forget if they catch you in a lie.
For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.
As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
