Legal Question in Family Law in California
My mother recently passed away, she didn't have a will. I've lived there for the last 15 years and taking care of her for the last 6 years. How can i change the name on the house to my name?

You would have to file a petition for intestate succession, and would have to be the only heir to receive title to the house. Or you can live there for five (5) years, pay taxes and then file an action to quiet title under the doctrine of adverse possession.
