Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am a mother with sole legal and physical custody of my son. I want to move out of the country to England with him and his dad agreed to sign a stipulation and order of custody FL-355 saying I could do so. What I was wondering is on the custody agreement form FL-341i'm doing no visitation (we are working that out ourselves) but where would I put that I am allowed to leave the country with him. Under 11. "Other" i'm guessing and how would I write that up.

A move away is a complicated process. I would first file a motion to get in front of a judge so that the court can supervise the legal rulings on the move away. If the father is in fact OK with the move away then the court will approve the stipulation and it should not be a problem.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
