Legal Question in Family Law in California

the mother of my unborn child is threatening to take our child away from me. That i would only have visitation rights and never any custody. what can i do about this if anything? she is not leaving due to a safety issue or some form of abuse she's upset that i do not wish to spend my life with her and she is using our child as a bargaining chip or piece of blackmail. Please can someone offer me some advice? I could not stand to lose my child from my life.

In order to protect your rights as a parent of the unborn child you need will need to file a petition to establish a parent child relationship.
