Legal Question in Family Law in California

need to move out of state

I need to move out of state with my two year old son, I am still married, what will happen if I leave the state with my son? I know my husband would not be ok with it, but I cannot survive financially here in California. Can I get into trouble for this?

Re: need to move out of state

Moving out of state without either a written agreement or a court order can be risky. Taking the child and hiding him from his father is a felony. The court may also order your to return the child to California pending a court hearing. This would result in a greater financila burden. You should consult with an attorney regarding the circumstances of your relationship with your husband and your options for moving.
