Legal Question in Family Law in California

I moved to California 1 year ago, my husband and I who is not a US citizen were married in Florida he did not come with me,I am not interested in continuing our marriage I no longer know how to find him have no contact information for him, I dont even know how to locate his family in Jamaica.How can I file for divorce or serve him with paper if I cant locate him? We have not spoken in more than 6 months.Do i have to have a lawyer or can I file on my own?

If he cannot be located, you can still divorce him by serving him through publication. You do not need a lawyer to do this - but frankly, this is one of those things like a person's ability to put a new engine in their car - possible, but unlikely.
