Legal Question in Family Law in California

I moved from Orange County to San Bernadino Couty 6 months ago and I have full physical and legal custody of my son. His father lives in Orange County and has visitation rights. We currently do not have a child custody issue, but i just want to change the venue to San Bernadino County. Can i do that?

No. Only if both parents move out of the original county will the courts even consider changing venue.

Mr. McCormick is correct. Since the father has not moved out of Orange County, venue will remain there.
