Legal Question in Family Law in California

moved a year and 1/2 ago

My ex and I agreed to move out of CA to CO. He never completed the move. I now live here with our daughter and he is still in CA with no intention to move here. How and When do we transfer our child custody case to Colorado. We had a paper signed and notorized stating that Colorado would be our daughters permanent address. We moved to CO at his request.

Take the paper you have signed to a Colorado attorney. That attorney can give you advice of whether you should fild in Colorado or California. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
