Legal Question in Family Law in California

Moving

My husband and I have full legal and full physical custody of his 5 yr old son and we have NOT seen the mother in over 28 months. The last we heard from her was almost a year ago and she is supposedly ''homeless and doing the oldest profession in the book (by her admission)''. We are about to move out of state very soon and would like to know do we need to do any paper work? We have NO idea where to even begin to look for the mother to serve. Any help would be apprecaited. Thank You!

Re: Moving

IT WILL BE IMPORTANT TO SEE IF MOTHER HAS AN ORDER FOR VISITATION. IF FATHER HAS SOLE LEGAL AND SOLE PHYSICAL CUSTODY SUBJECT TO REASONABLE VISIATION OF THE MOTHER THEN FATHER WILL NEED TO EITHER OBTAIN A WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE MOTHER OR PERMISSSION OF THE COURT TO MOVE. I WILL NEED TO LOOK OVER THE COURT ORDER AND OBTAIN MORE INFORMATION BEFORE PROVIDING MORE ADVICE. IF YOU ARE IN SOUTHERN CA THEN YOU MAY CONTACT MY OFFICE AT 310-839-7700
