Legal Question in Family Law in California

moving with military husband

I'm married to a military man and I have a 14 year old child of my own. Her father does not see her (disappeared from her life 3 years ago) but the DA has tracked him down and is garnishing his wages. He sends cards twice a year (b-day and X-mas) but has never made a move to exercise his visitation rights. When my husband is stationed elsewhere, what issues will I have moving my child? Thank you for all your help.

Re: moving with military husband

Do you have any kind of order or judgment stating whether you are allowed to move or not? If so, you will have to get his permission. If he won't give permission, you will need to get a court order. You will likely be successful based on the facts you gave.

If you don't need his permission or an order of the court, you can move.

Keep in mind that you should take your paperwork and get a consultation with an attorney. This is a vague answer to a question that doesn't give as much information as should be given.
