Legal Question in Family Law in California

moving away

I have sole legal and physical custody of my child. Father has no visits for 3 years now. My court case has been closed. I want to move out of state.Do I need to do anything before or after the move. I want to do this legally.

Have your last orders reviewed by a family law attorney. It would be prudent to file a motion and receive court permission to move the children or to receive the father's written consent, simply because after you move the father could file a motion and cause you great problems.
