Legal Question in Family Law in California

Moving Within State

My husband and I have a court order with his visitation specified, since we live in the same county. I want to move to a different county but I know he won't agree. I am the custodial parent and he pays child support. How do I go about asking for permission to move with the kids? We only moved here because he's military. Neither one of us have family in this area. All my family is in southern Cali...about 5-6 hours away.

Re: Moving Within State

You should attempt mediation through your local court. If that fails then file an Order to Show Case regarding modification of visitation.

If you need any assistance once you get to southern California, give us a call.
