Legal Question in Family Law in California
moving to another state
I have primary physical custody and we have joint legal. he gets 8 weeks a year right now and lives 400 miles away.
I get about 90% time. my new husband got a job relocation and promotion in another state. my ex doesn't want us to go. he can still have his 8 weeks but it will be during summer instead of 2 week increments. what do i need to do and can i take my son with me?

You will have to file a motion requesting a court order allowing you to move. Since the amount of visitation will not change there should be not detrimental to the child for you to move. File the motion as soon as possible as this may take some time.
