Legal Question in Family Law in California

moving to another state with sold legal/physical custody

Is it possible, having sole legal and physical custody, to move from California to Colorado without permission from the non-custodial parent or a court order? My current orders do not indicate this is necessary, however, I have heard from one attorney that it is, and from another to look closely at the current court orders. My orders do not indicate anything specific in regard to moves. I do NOT want to be accused of kidnapping as I'm simply moving to join my fiancee in Colorado. As long as I maintain the currect visitation schedule (one day per month) do I need permission. I do NOT want to go back to court. Thank you

You can file a stipulation with the court if the other parent agrees with the move. It would be a good idea to have an order.
