Legal Question in Family Law in California
Moving/Relocation
I have sole physical custody of my 9 year old (have had this since they day he was born) & I want to move to Nevada (California's too expensive) and I was wondering since I have sole physical custoday, can my ex block me from moving? I will keep his visitation the same (every other weekend) nothing will change; only the fact that I am moving. Please help! Our divorce paperwork does not say anything that I cannot move out. It says that I we must inform each other new relocation addresses. That's it.

Re: Moving/Relocation
Attempt to negotiate an agreement for the move. If he does not agree then go to court and obtain a court order allowing the move.
