Legal Question in Family Law in California
mutual child guardianship between two individuals
a mutual contract written by an attorney, however not presented to the courts was agreed upon between 2 individuals to give complete guardianship over a 14 yr old minor. the mother signed it in good trust that the other individual would continue providing all necessary provisions for the minor. it was agreed upon by both parties, and the guardianship is an attorney. the current guardianship no longer wants to care for the minor, and wants out of the contract that was agreed upon. is the paternal parent now responsible again for the child and must provide all provisions for the minor? can the signed document be held up in a court of law, if it didn't go through the legal guardianship proceedings?
