The birth certificate is in no way proof of paternity. All it is is a public record of when the baby was born and who the mother SAID the father was. If she wants to try to collect child support she will have to file a paternity action against you and submit the baby to a DNA test (which you would also be ordered to submit to). If you really want to go to the trouble to get this nipped in the bud, you do have the right to file an action to correct the birth certificate and to establish your non-paternity. Up to you if you want to go to that expense when there is no binding paternity claim against you.
