Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have a nephew coming to stay with me, he was married in Nevada to a 16 yr. old girl, what does he need to do when he gets here to california to maintain legal marriage status?

Bring the original wedding certificate and picture identification for both of them. A marriage that is legal in Nevada should be legal in California.
