Legal Question in Family Law in California
no-fault divorce
My wife wants to file a no-fault
divorce because I quit my job and
want to stay home with my kids
before they go to college. I have
worked for 23 years, 14 hours a
day. I want to spend time with my
kids before the head to college and
out of our lives, sort of speaking.
She works full time. I'm a stay
home and take care of all of house
work and take care of the kids.
She wants to get half of our
properties. Should I agree to the
no-fault divorce? Or, should I let
her get a fault divorce? Do you
think a judge would give her half of
our community property or more?

Re: no-fault divorce
There is no fault divorce in California. All community property is divided 1/2 each.
