Legal Question in Family Law in California

Non-Represented by an Atty.

My brother is representing himself in custody case and will appear for a hearing in 2 weeks. Witnesses are ready and everything in position. Will he be able to ask the witnesses questions or does the judge? Should he have someone unbias asking the questions? Should he have questions ready for a court appointed officer to do the questioning?

Re: Non-Represented by an Atty.

He will be able to ask questions of his witnesses. the advantage of having an attorney is that your brother my not know how to word questions to get around objections by the attorney on the other side.
