Legal Question in Family Law in California

Notice of Default in Divorce

I was mailed a request to enter default initiated by my husband on 9/10/07. Our divorce was very simple and we both agreed to everything. I gave him the final paperwork from the court with my notarized signature so that he could mail it in. I thought everything was fine so what is this?

Re: Notice of Default in Divorce

You can proceed by default, which means that the defaulting party saves money on the filing fee, but you still get to sign a marital settlement agreement that takes your wished into consideration in obtaining a final judgment.
