Legal Question in Family Law in California

notice of motion

in regards to receiving FL-301 that states a hearing on this motion will be held on such a date and time, am I correct in understanding this is simply to notify me and does not order me to appear as petitioner, but is held to deem if this is a jusifiable claim? Since I feel a 17 tear old judgement will not be enforced I may choose not to be present for the simple pleasure of saying I told you so. Also when checking on who this motion would be heard by I found it to be listed as a commissioner instead of a judge. all these assumptions are merely my own interpretation after hours of trying to find info online. thanks

Re: notice of motion

Can you imagine the liablity of giving advice such as this over the internet without reviewing the documents. You should have all documents reviewed by an attorney to get good advice. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
