Notifying other party of attorney

If the other party in a custody case isn't aware I have an attorney until the day of our hearing, willthe case be continued?

If you have hired an attorney to represent you you should ask him/her any questions you have about your case. He is much more likely to be able to gage the likelyhood of a continuance being granted.
